Asus Eee Pad Slider

The Asus Eee Pad Slider is a refreshing change in the tablet market. It has a unique(for a tablet anyway) sliding keyboard design that gives it some added appeal for business users, and for anyone who types a lot.

It has the exact same hardware as almost every other android tablet, but with its functional design, it shouldn't matter. While it might not end up being the most popular device on the market, I feel that it will definitely sell.

Asus Eee Pad Slider In addition to the slider keyboard, it has a decent camera, and slew of ports(for a tablet), which all combine to make a semi-unique computing experience.

Pros

The Eee Pad Slider has Android 3.1, which means full Adobe Flash support. It also has a micro-USB port for expansion, plus a micro-SD card reader. The screen is covered with Corning® Gorilla® Glass, which protects it from scratches, and bumps, plus it has a full qwerty keyboard for increased productivity. Another good thing is the 1GB of RAM, which is a decent amount for a tablet(twice as much as the Ipad 2).

Cons

Besides the sliding keyboard, it is pretty much a run-o-the-mill Android tablet, with the same processor, screen size, and resolution as almost every other Android tablet out there. The other con is the limited amount of storage, which while the same as other tablets, is still limited compared to a netbook or laptop.

  • Screen=10.1 inch 1280 by 800

Bottom Line

The Eee Pad Slider is a great choice for a Tablet, and I would definitely recommend it.
